1. ENCOURAGING POSITIVE AND RESPECTFUL CLASSROOM/SCHOOL CLIMATES

Skill building, program consultation, and facilitated dialogue for students, staff, and parents, including:

  • Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
  • Building empathy and respect (formerly the KLEAR program)
  • Bullying awareness and prevention
  • Gang awareness and prevention
  • Classroom management and positive discipline strategies
  • Diversity and differences


2. ENHANCING YOUTH DEVELOPMENT AND PEER PROGRAMS

Skill building and program consultation for students and staff coordinators, including:
  • Peer Helping
  • Peer Mediation
  • Bridges to Safety: Character Education Lessons
  • Freshman Transition
  • Student leadership development
  • Peer-to-Peer fishbowl dialogues


3. STRENGTHENING PARENT/SCHOOL PARTNERSHIPS

Skill building and program consultation for school staff and parents, including:
  • Parent Education Workshops
  • Enhancing active parent involvement and engagement
  • Parent Leadership Development
  • Building authentic school-parent partnerships


4. FOSTERING A COLLABORATIVE ORGANIZATIONAL CULTURE

Skill building and direct services (mediation, facilitation, and dialogue) for school administrators and staff, including:
  • Support in running more effective meetings including school site council, student study teams, staff, special committee, and parent meetings (including ELAC)
  • Design and facilitation of group meetings focused on: strategic planning, team building, developing shared goals and visions, etc.
  • Design of processes to engage staff, parents, and students in shared decision-making
  • Dialogue and community building between school members and the larger community
  • Mediation of workplace conflicts including issues like different work styles, shared work space, cultural issues, differing expectations, rumors, and gossip, between: teachers, staff members, and parents
